We Believe in:
1. Faith Alone
Faith is a gift of God and cannot be attained through good works. Faith in Christ and Christ alone is what saves man. And it is brought about by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit and thus all people have the freedom to either submit or to rebel against His testimony regarding the Son (Jeremiah 31:3, John 3:16, 6:44, 12:32 and 14:6).
2. Grace Alone
Salvation is brought about by God’s grace through the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ, and it is by grace that people are brought to faith in Him (Romans 3:24, Ephesians 2:8).
3. Christ Alone
Jesus Christ has already purchased our salvation, and it is only through Him that salvation can be obtained. No other religion qualifies, for Christ is the way the truth and the life and we therefore follow in His footsteps. We who are saved seek to do what pleases the Son (John 1:1), (John 3:16), (John 13:34 and 14:15), (Titus 3:4 – 7), (Hebrews 1:1 – 14), (1 John 4:7 – 21), (Revelation 22:13).
4. The Bible Alone
The Bible both Old and New Testament is the inspired, infallible word of God that point to Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour of mankind. And therefore all of scripture is applicable to the believer’s life in relation to Christ who is the revealed word of God. And it is through the Bible that the believer is equipped and strengthened to follow Christ and to make Him known to all those who do not know Him (Colossians 2:16 – 17), (2 Timothy 3:16), (2 Peter 1:20 – 21).
5. To God Alone be the Glory
God has revealed Himself to man in three distinct persons which are God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, and all three persons are God, thus He is three in one. And it is God triune that brought about our salvation, for the Father sent the Son to die for man’s sins and to be freed from the wrath of God, the Son was then resurrected and ascended into heaven, after which the Father sent the Holy Spirit so that He might be with them, and so that He could lead them and teach them to obey Christ through which people can have an intimate relationship with the Triune God. And thus it is to God that all the glory belong to man, for it is God who created, saved and who will judge those who rejected Him (Genesis 1:26 – 27), (Matthew 22:34 – 40, 28:18), (John 14:15 – 17), (Ephesians 5:5).
